UKSC 2008 took place on 27-29th March at Charterhouse School near Godalming, Surrey. It brought together the members of the UK space community to take part in lectures, panel discussions, networking opportunities, a careers fair as well as many other events. Thank you to everyone who supported the inaugural UKSC, most particularly our programme contributors and distinguished speakers:-

In a presentation at the UK Space Conference, Stuart Eves of SSTL describes the use of satellite-mounted sensors to detect precursor signals to major earthquakes, holding out the prospect of earthquake disaster mitigation.
